Sheikh Abu Bakr Zoud was born in and grew up in Australia, where he began his studies in Islamic sciences at a young age and then furthered his studies and is a graduate of the Faculty of Quran from the Islamic University of Madinah, after which he continued his Qur’anic Studies in Egypt and then the UAE. The Sheikh has received numerous ijazaat in Quran including one from Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhafy, the Imam of Masjid An-Nabwi, and Sheikh Tamim Al Zu’bi. His studies have given him a profound appreciation for the importance of scholarship and the role of education in empowering individuals and communities.

Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, to parents who migrated from Aceh, Indonesia, he is fluent in English, Acehnese, Indonesian, Malay, and Arabic—allowing him to connect with pilgrims from diverse backgrounds.

From 2011 to 2020, during his time in Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Ziyad had the privilege of assisting Hujjaj, particularly from Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and surrounding regions. Having performed Hajj multiple times, his greatest honour has been guiding and supporting pilgrims of all ages as they embark on this sacred journey. His dedication lies in ensuring that every pilgrim experiences Hajj with spiritual depth, ease, and the hope of an accepted pilgrimage.

With a deep passion for serving the Ummah, he continues to ask Allah to bless all those striving to visit His House and fulfill the fifth pillar of Islam. He also prays that Allah continue to bless the efforts of those who work tirelessly to facilitate this sacred journey, making Hajj a peaceful and unifying experience for the entire Muslim Ummah.
